Today on this Good Friday, we give thanks that God loved us enough to send his only begotten son to save us. We honor the sacrifice of the crucifixion of Christ and what it means for us all in God's programme of grace, mercy and salvation of all.
Surrender & Humility
As followers of Christ we know that the cross was not easy to bear. In his humanity, faced with the tribulation to come, Jesus himself asked if there could be another way out! ( Luke 22:42) Thankfully, praise be to God, He determined that the will of the Father must prevail at all costs so that mankind can be saved, each and every one of us.
So it is with us as believers, we need to pattern Jesus' humble mindset of total surrender in the face of our tribulations. As much as we may pray for another way out sometimes, God's will and intention must prevail in the manner He ordains.

We do so because we have the assurance that if we love God and are aligned with His will and instruction, then our personal 'crosses' will serve a purpose and all things will work together for good.
Staying Power to Focus on God
Also, we must pray diligently for mental staying power in God. This is not easy, this is not trivial but it is absolutely necessary.
We need grace, strength and consistency to keep our hearts and minds focused on the Lord, His will and His promises.
Some of us will never be murderers, thieves and sorcerers, so the devil has to try to devour us by attacking our peace of mind. However, we are assured that if we stay focused and steadfast on God, we will experience peace - "a peace that surpasses all understanding."
Let us consciously practise to keep our minds clear and strengthened against the many distractions that come our way. This is the way to peace of mind. (Isaiah 26:3)
So in this blessed Easter season, may our mental state be one of total surrender to the will of God. May we keep our minds consistently focused on Him as we thank Him for the pattern of Christ we are given to follow and the ultimate price he paid for our salvation. 🙏
Have a Blessed Easter Season,
Catique.
