Heart Posture
This post is intended to be a helpful reminder to us of our true position and purpose in the grand scheme of God's design. We are all created in His image and likeness (Genesis 1:27), with His prevailing plan being the framework within which “we live, move and have our being.” (Acts 17:28)
The Bible says “For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things.” (Romans 11:36) This is a powerful reminder that our total existence, and that of all that surrounds us, is due to God's sovereignty.

When we adapt the heart posture of true service to God's kingdom and the fulfilment of His will on earth as our primary reason for living, we acknowledge that we are here as conduits for His will, His glory, His light and His power.
The Core Solution
This ‘conduit consciousness’ is the core solution to problems such as existential crises, limiting beliefs of unworthiness, feelings of insignificance, loneliness and fear, as well as tendencies of self-righteousness pride and judgmental behaviors.
The very nature and success of a conduit is its ability to allow something else to flow through freely towards an intended destination. That's what we are - conduits for the life force and power of God. We are channels for his source energy to flow through us into the world, in the specialized manner dictated by each of our own uniqueness.

Stay Connected, Stay Open
For each of us, as conduits for divine energy, love and power, His desire is that we remain connected to Him and wholly intact - mind, body, soul and spirit.
“I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” (John 15:5)
This bible verse is a helpful and clear illustration of this concept.
As conduits it is our duty to remain open to God's leading, to make space for His ways to unfold through us. It is important that we know and believe that His ways are higher than our ways, they are the ultimate path and He is the ultimate source.
“Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?” (Romans 11:33-34)
Blocking God's Purposes?
It makes sense for us all to ensure that we are not acting knowingly or unknowingly as potential (yet unsuccessful!) blocks or hindrances to God's program. We can do this by:
- Seeking out His will and remaining open to his instructions, not living with hardened hearts.
- Asking in prayer, with reverence for wisdom, clarity and discernment. Make time and space for a deeper prayer life, not just one where we are requesting things, but where we are deepening an intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit.
- Remaining powerfully humble - read and study the word of God, know and understand that you are always loved, supported, guided and held by God. This understanding is the counter to fear. This understanding creates the boldness to serve unhindered, knowing that when you align with His will, the God of the entire universe completely supports you.
“For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.”- 2 Timothy 1:7
We are advised biblically that the Lord’s plans will always prevail, so it would make sense to be on the right side of his will and purposes at all times.
“For the Lord Almighty has purposed, and who can thwart him? His hand is stretched out, and who can turn it back?” (Isaiah 14:27)
In closing, let us remember what our true identity in Christ entails and what we are really meant to do. We are meant to be conduits or channels for His glory and to facilitate the fulfilment of His will here in earth - very vast, but simple.
This truth is shared with us through the word of God which states:
“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Ephesians 2:10)
Thank you for reading.
Be blessed,
